Sponsorship Projects: Watoto Child
Watoto has been caring for abandoned or orphaned African children since 1994.
These children are placed in a new home with 7 other orphans and cared for by a loving African HOUSE MOTHER. Watoto is committed to providing these children with food, clothing, medical care, education, and love in a family setting from the time they come into our care until adulthood.
Watoto homes are arranged in clusters forming a children’s village. Watoto has founded four children’s villages: Suubi, Bbira, Buloba and Labora. The villages include well-built brick homes, primary, secondary and vocational schools, community centres, medical clinics and a production unit.
Watoto children are lovingly cared for the way you care for your own children. Sponsorship covers food, shelter, clothing, medical care and educational costs. Your donation can change a life by providing hope and a future for these otherwise lost and outcast children.
Agnes*
Agnes and her sister Jackie lost their parents to AIDS when they were very little. The children were left in the custody of an uncle who was staying in one of the slums outside the city but he could not care for them so he left them with Watoto.
Today Agnes and her sister attend school and enjoy participating in life at home. She loves the company of her new brothers and sisters and most of all her Mom.
You may wish to allocate your donation to WATOTO CHILD so that an orphan like Agnes will have the opportunity to be cared for in a Watoto village.
